When the gas prices went up, it really put a big impact on people’s wallets. It was hard to go anywhere, especially on a vacation. People could not afford nice things like they used to because it all went in the gas tank. For a lot of people, it was hard to save hard earned money when it was just burned up in the gas tank.
It really put a big impact on truckers. For example, my dad used to be a trucker and he used to spend a couple hundred dollars on fuel during the week.
