Roughing It With Tents Versus The Luxury of RVs

When you finally decide on going camping, the next step is figuring out what type of camping you would want to do, either camping in a tent or choosing to stay in an RV. It all depends on how you feel, whether you want to rough it on the ground or stay comfortable in an RV. Both choices have their pros and cons. For some people it’s not as easy as just flipping a coin, some may think staying in an RV isn’t really camping, while others feel like staying in a tent will just keep you up and unable to sleep.

Cost can be a factor to choosing either option. If you are on a budget, purchasing or even renting tents, sleeping bags, and other accessories that you may need to “rough it” can be much, much cheaper than buying or renting an RV. If you go camping on a regular-basis, however, an RV can be a good investment since it can get you from A to B pretty well and most of the necessities already come with it. (more…)

I love making long trips with my family in an RV. They are a really great time to bond and re-affirm our commitment and plans for better days ahead for the total family. Why do I need a portable solar panel during such trips? Good question. Read on as I unveil a secret for you to enjoy your trip and still save cost.

The reason is not far-fetched. You can save some cost on the trip if you take advantage of this system. When I undertake such trip I usually carry a lot of appliances like radio, TV, laptops, play-station, cooker, etc and I will also need a power outlet for charging and for continuous play for such equipment such that I will be home away from home, which is the whole idea anyway. All this is going on while the vehicle is on the move. Even when we stop to camp we will need some power for all our energy need. Though some electrical appliances cannot use solar energy but most can.
