Legendary and still on the road today, the Jeep Cherokee has made its mark in history. The compact classic style sports utility vehicle was one of the most popular vehicles on the market. The rugged workhorse power and off road performance appealed to the outdoors group. While the firm sporty ride with respected blacktop performance appealed to the utility and family minded individuals.

In production for almost 20 years, the Jeep Cherokee displayed minimal changes through the years. Cherokees lived through two generations of production beginning with the first hitting the roads in 1984. Modeled after the Wagoneer, the Cherokee was a cheaper more modern version. There is no doubt that Jeep wants its customers to have an extreme experience. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that Jeep Grand Cherokee has received more than a scintilla of attention from both automotive retailers and general magazines and websites on the subject. The site gives the same vehicle a “4×4 of the Year” and other awards. It performs well on highways as well as on rugged roads. It is also a mid-size vehicle with powerful engines.

The Grand Jeep Cherokee was unveiled in 1983. Compared to other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokees looks like other cars. The compact size has been maintained since 2005. However, more features have been added since 2007. In 2007 new diesel engine options were added. Beginning in 2001, the Cherokee had a V8 five-speed automatic engine. In 2002, Jeep introduced three additional trim levels i. E.; Special edition, Sports, Overland, a 265 HP V8 and more features.
