Automotive and Motorbike Riding in Britain

Automobiles and homes are the two largest investments that many people make. Some cars today even costs as much as some lower cost homes in town. Just down the street here there is a home in foreclosure that is listed for around $40,000. It is a frame home with a small lot, but is on a nice street. Around the corner, I drove by a new car lot that was sporting signs on their windshields that say, “Sale! $42,000 New Luxury Car”. With the amount of money that people spend on cars and automotive related items, it is only natural that one would need lots of information on various car topics.

In many countries, one must have a license before driving. Here in the United States when someone is 16 years old they begin the process to become a licensed driver. First, a written test is given based on the driver’s manual. If passed, then the person is issued a learners permit. This allows the beginning driver to drive with another licensed driver. (more…)

More about Mazda Sports Car – RX7

Mazda RX7 has been a proud possession of high speed enthusiasts since the last four decades. Rotary engine was first invented in 1957 by a German Engineer named Felix Wankel. He believed in 4 strokes as to be achieved while rotating. Initially there was no success in the automobiles and it disappeared from the vehicle manufacturers engineering labs until Mr. Masuda Tsuneji identified the potential and worked with NSU in the research and development of rotary engine. In 1967 Mazda succeeded in producing the world’s first dual rotar rotary engine.

Can 50cc Moped Scooters Save You Money?

More cash is something that we are all looking for these days and we are trying to save it any way we can. Unfortuately, filling up our gas tank is one of the largest expense we all have every week. Depending upon what kind of car you have and how far you have to travel, you could be spending as much as 200 a week just on gasoline. Instead of always filling up that big old engine, why not consider 50cc moped scooters as an alternative.

Cars, of course, are a better vehicle for carrying many passengers or in unclimate weather. But what about when you are just running errands in the city on short trips? Is there really any need to use the gas guzzler and add another bill to the growing stack? Now you are adding another tank of gas to something that is already draining you. Many riders get more than 80MPG on 50cc Scooters! Imagine how much cash that will put in your pocket by the end of the year. (more…)

The Debate About Custom Motorcycle Exhaust

Custom motorcycle exhaust has been the topic of some heated debates over the past couple years and most of the debates really boil down to two main arguments. Those two main arguments are for and against the exhaust all together. This article will explain what those two arguments are and how they both can be valid.

The first main argument that happens to be for motorcycle custom exhaust is the argument that custom exhaust makes a lot of noise and therefore makes other drivers more aware that the motorcycle is present. This, in my opinion, is a good thing because by increasing the awareness of the drivers around you, you are essentially protecting yourself from harm caused by other vehicles. Motorcycles can be hard to see because of their small size in relation to the other vehicles on the road. (more…)

Choosing The Cruiser Style Motorcycle Over Other Styles

When it comes to riding motorcycles, many people have there preference with regard to the type of bike that they ride and that’s typically what they stay true to throughout there lives. For me, it’s the cruiser style motorcycle that I prefer for a few reasons.

One of the reasons I enjoy the cruiser style motorcycle is because of the laid back feel that you get while riding. The reason for this is because the seat on a cruiser is usually quite a bit lower to the ground and positioned in the back position, meaning the rider is not leaning forward on the motorcycle but straight up or even a little backward. The handlebars are also position differently as they are positioned further back. Some handlebars are now positioned even lower than before so your hands are closer to your legs than they are with traditional handlebar positioning. (more…)

Motorcycle Riding Seasons

For many motorcyclists, the season of winter represents the time when their motorcycle is to be stored, which means the end of the riding season. For some though the season of winter simply means that they may need to add a couple more layers in order stay warm while their riding. This article will describe the differences in riding seasons based on where you live.

Those that live in the northern areas of the United States understand that there is a shorter riding season, so motorcyclists from these areas understand that they have to store their bikes for the winter and are unable to ride during this time. This means that they have a shortened riding season and less opportunity for riding. It’s no surprise then that the level of excitement for those who ride grows in the spring time when the snow thaws and the roads are almost clear. It’s a sort of spring fever in a sense because their bikes have been stored all winter long and now they’re anxiously waiting the first opportunity to get out and enjoy riding again. (more…)
