Climate change and the environment are becoming increasingly prevalent concerns in our lives. We’re constantly being informed that our impact on the environment is going to affect our children in the future rather than causing significant damage in our lifetimes. We’ve all seen images on TV of ice sheets melting, extreme weather conditions and natural disasters; it does make you wonder if our impact on the environment is only going to make matters worse.

One significant change that we could all make is to drive a smaller and more economical car. Smaller cars with smaller engines are currently selling extremely well due to the benefits they offer to the environment and consumers. There are many reasons for this, economy is a big factor – modern superminis can average up to 60 miles per gallon, their five year old equivalents would be lucky to average 40mpg. This economy saves money and the environment, as ‘better economy’ means less pollution and greenhouse gasses are emitted by the vehicle. Continue reading ‘Time for change’ »
