BSA was founded in 1861 in the Gun Quarter, Birmingham, England by fourteen gunsmiths of the Birmingham Small Arms Trade Association, who had together supplied arms to the British government during the Crimean War.

During World War 1, the company returned to arms manufacture and greatly expanded its operations. At the peak of the war, the Group factories were employing approximately 20000 people. BSA produced rifles, Lewis guns, shells, motorcycles and other vehicles for the war effort. Continue reading ‘History of BSA Motorcycles’ »

More cash is something that we are all looking for these days and we are trying to save it any way we can. Unfortuately, filling up our gas tank is one of the largest expense we all have every week. Depending upon what kind of car you have and how far you have to travel, you could be spending as much as 200 a week just on gasoline. Instead of always filling up that big old engine, why not consider 50cc moped scooters as an alternative.

Cars, of course, are a better vehicle for carrying many passengers or in unclimate weather. But what about when you are just running errands in the city on short trips? Motorcycles can be hard to see because of their small size in relation to the other vehicles on the road. Continue reading ‘The Debate About Custom Motorcycle Exhaust’ »

When it comes to riding motorcycles, many people have there preference with regard to the type of bike that they ride and that’s typically what they stay true to throughout there lives. For me, it’s the cruiser style motorcycle that I prefer for a few reasons.

One of the reasons I enjoy the cruiser style motorcycle is because of the laid back feel that you get while riding. The reason for this is because the seat on a cruiser is usually quite a bit lower to the ground and positioned in the back position, meaning the rider is not leaning forward on the motorcycle but straight up or even a little backward. The handlebars are also position differently as they are positioned further back. Some handlebars are now positioned even lower than before so your hands are closer to your legs than they are with traditional handlebar positioning.
