These are exciting days and times for car enthusiasts. Muscle cars and classic cars have been brought out of the non-existent museum of retired classic cars & muscle cars and they have been reborn and given new life. Vrooom!! The muscle car is something that is as All-American as All-American gets. These cars hearken back to another era; an era in which Detroit dominated the world auto industry with innovation, style, gusto and raw power. U.S. cars were the envy of the world. Now those muscle cars and classic cars have been given new life. Let’s talk about these cars. Continue reading ‘Muscle Cars & Classic Cars Reborn’ »

There are many ways to make the road sizzle. On a hot day the road sizzles all by itself. You can also make the road sizzle by driving the car very fast. But that will probably be illegal so it isn’t really an option to make the road sizzle. Another option to make the road sizzle is to drive a car that has hot and sizzling style.

Fast speed and hot styling have been a winning combination and many cars are testimony to this fact. And though if you go very fast in the car you will quickly exceed the legal limit, if you look to make the styling of your car hotter there is not limit and you can do it to your hearts content. Automatic and manual transmissions or transaxles perform the same task, but do it in quite different ways. Both transmit engine power to the vehicle’s drive train. But in a manual transmission, gears are often moving at different speeds. Obviously this means they can’t mesh, and trying to make them mesh causes the gears to grind. It sounds unpleasant because it is.

Grinding is a metal on metal impact that harms the gears and throws off metal fragments that contaminate the lubricant and can cause further damage to metal surfaces. Oil for manual transmissions is especially important because it needs to protect gears against this damage. Unlike gasoline engines which use the constant firing of spark plugs to ignite fuel in the combustion chamber, diesel engines use the heat of compression to create ignition explosions. Compression ratios are much higher for diesel engines, and fuel is directly injected into the compressed air at exactly the correct time.

With diesel fuel’s already low flammability and propensity for poor quality, along with the eventual small amount of compression loss over an engine’s lifespan, explosions inside combustion chambers in older diesel engines can lose the capability to provide quality power and performance. Sluggish engine performance will slowly wear on vital engine parts as well as use larger amounts of fuel than necessary. This will become costly and inconvenient for drivers of older diesels. A cetane booster additive can increase the flammability and explosiveness of diesel fuel and restore power to older diesel engines. Continue reading ‘A Cetane Booster Delivers Quality Results’ »

Diesel engines are typically stronger and more efficient than gasoline engines. Their lifespan is about twice the length, as well. Their heavier, stronger internal parts and higher compression ratios allow them to endure the greater stresses found in a work environment and from prolonged use. Most heavy duty, diesel engines are found in class 8 trucks, or tractor trailers.

These trucks haul heavy loads continuously and in every possible type of environment. Whether traveling through desert heat or the harsh cold of winter, these engines must continue to be extremely reliable in order to handle the large majority of the transportation industry’s workload. The use of a diesel fuel additive to improve and maintain the engine performance in these trucks helps them to withstand constant stress and continual labored use without experiencing premature part failure. BMW X5 SUV enthusiast carries only the highest quality brand names and products, and in HID lighting. Xenon Conversion kits are the top tier product. These kit’s bulbs and ballasts start as bulbs and ballasts which are then rebased with custom molded bases and then optically aligned using lasers for quality fitment and performance in vehicles originally unable to utilize HID technology. The bulbs life expectancy is between 2,500 to 3,000 hours which is equivalent to 5+ years of actual driving time. In addition, these kits come with a 1-year warranty on ALL components.

All BMW X5 Xenon lighting upgrade kits on the market are not of equal quality. If the best quality HID kit on the market is what you are looking for, then look no further as this kit is the standard by which other HID conversion kits are measured against –bulbs and ballasts. HIDs and BMW X5 Xenon bulbs are found as original equipment in many BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Why settle for anything less than the German made, proven Xenon components. HID bulbs resulting light spectrum and properties are measured according to their operating temperatures in degrees Kelvin (K). The color of the light output is influenced by the bulb type, viewing angle, and light housing. Continue reading ‘BMW X5 Lights’ »
